Festivals and community events require the assistance of many sponsors, supporters and volunteers. The Italian Film festival has just such a group of wonderful businesses and people. Without these there would be no film festival.  Thank you to them.  Now you get out there and support them.

Each year they move 500kgs of film prints to New Zealand from Italy and return plus truck them all around New Zealand, time critical, and I have never have had a problem.

The film festival is New Zealand's premier Italian cultural event. The festival enjoys the patronage of His Excellency, the Ambassador for Italy, Dr Gioacchino Trizzino, and the Embassy of Italy.

The 15th edition of the Italian Film festival has the invaluable support in New Zealand of: Eat Your Heart Out (Auckland), Nicolinis (Wellington), Heritage Hotel (Christchurch), Etrusco (Dunedin) & Stefano's (Nelson) & Volare (Tauranga) restaurants, NZ Herald, Otago Daily Times, Nelson Mail, Hawkes Bay Today, Napier Mail & Bay of Plenty Times.

Plus many people who help the festival by correcting all my (the director) silly mistakes, less each year I hope, in the programme and this web site, turning the content into sensible information, distributing posters and programmes to all their friends and colleagues, and passing on the word that Italians make great film.
