“Super star Moccia devastates box office with new film and Raoul Bova”  Voce di Mantova

“The ‘Moccia-boom’ .. triumphant march continues … Bova beautiful, talented”  Il Messaggero

This number-one smash-hit romantic comedy from writer and first time director Federico Moccia stars heart-throb Raoul Bova (‘Facing Windows’). Moccia a writer who has won the hearts of Italy’s young readers (‘Three metres above the sky’, ‘I want you’), moves behind the camera for the first time to transform into film his bestselling novel (over 850,000 copies sold in Italy), ‘Sorry if I Love You’.

Disaster seems to have struck Alex (Bova) on all fronts: he has just been abandoned by Elena (Veronica Logan), his long-time girlfriend and his job as creative director of an advertising agency is under threat as he vies with an ambitious new colleague for an international campaign. Literally by ‘accident’ however Alex has met the woman of his dreams.  Niki is beautiful, intelligent, witty and vivacious. Just one problem. Niki is seventeen.

This film is a headlong collision between adults and teens, wreaking havoc between mothers and daughters, mayhem between little-boy fathers and children who are already adults.

Moccia tries to create a space for ‘real’ love as he explores the age-old theme central also to the advertising campaign featured in the film: “finding the courage to follow your dreams”.
