Mario (Fabio Volo – Casomai), a thirty something survivor drifts along - living in Cremona with his very traditional mother, working at city hall as an accountant – gently learning to lower his expectations of life as each day passes.

One day what seems like a golden opportunity arises: a building has become available and he and a group of friends seize the opportunity to break from their dull existence and build the nightclub they have dreamed about for so long.

A very modern story about life and love, Alessandro D’Alatri (Casomai) expertly dissects provincial prejudices and attitudes, as well as the red tape traps of local bureaucracy that thrives on its own self-attributed importance and frustrates at every step.  Fabio Volo finds just the right balance of exasperation, determination and world-weariness for Mario; a man who understands that life should not be so complicated – but that it is anyway.

“Brimming with zingy anti-establishment moments - the Italian governmental bureaucracy makes a deliciously easy target - filmmaker Alessandro D'Alatri has fashioned a delightful story of self-discovery.”  Duane Byrge, Hollywood Reporter
