Caterina (Donatella Finocchiaro – ‘Angela’) lives on the streets, at the city’s invisible edge, battling against the ghosts of family abuse.  Fabrizio (Raoul Bova – ‘Under the Tuscan sun’), living a comfortable physical life but locked within his own world, tormented by manias and obsessive behaviour and isolated by medication that has frozen his heart.

When Caterina and Fabrizio meet by chance Caterina feels for the first time a shiver running down her spine.  Caterina follows Fabrizio, takes him by the hand, promises to cure him with her everlasting love.  Fabrizio listens to her words and allows himself to be dragged into this vortex of emotions.

The story of an unstable and passionate love and perhaps an impossible one.  Is their love destined to last forever or only for as long as a heartbeat?
